She emphasized the importance of events that encourage dialogue and bridge-building between communities in Kosovo.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7002 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/sbunker.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Panel-I-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"637\" height=\"425\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sbunker.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Panel-I-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sbunker.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Panel-I-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/sbunker.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Panel-I-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sbunker.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Panel-I-18x12.jpg 18w, https:\/\/sbunker.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Panel-I.jpg 1229w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 637px) 100vw, 637px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The first-panel discussion, <strong>\u201cKosovo Government\u2019s Relationship with Kosovo Serbs: Navigating Between Disintegration and the Absence of Domestic Dialogue,\u201d<\/strong> featured <strong>Aleksandar Arsenijevi\u0107<\/strong>, President of the Serb Democracy Party and <strong>Visar Ymeri<\/strong>Executive Director of the Institute for Social Policy \u201cMusine Kokalari.\u201d The discussion was moderated by <strong>Visar Xhambazi,<\/strong> Project Manager at Sbunker.<\/p>\n<p>This discussion highlighted significant challenges in the relationship between the Kosovo government and the Kosovo Serbs, emphasizing the need for genuine dialogue, gradual integration and a liberal approach to understanding cultural differences.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> Mr. Arsenijevi\u0107<\/strong> criticized the Kosovo government for poor crisis management and repressive measures against Serbs, leading to their marginalization. He stressed the need for sincere dialogue with the Kosovo Serb community.<\/li>\n<li><strong> Mr. Ymeri<\/strong> stated that Kosovo government is focusing more on obstacles rather than solutions and stressed the need for genuine interethnic dialogue. This discussion featured <strong>Jovana Radosavljevi\u0107,<\/strong>, Executive Director of the New Social Initiative and <strong>Emir Abrashi<\/strong>Policy Analyst at Democracy Plus. The discussion was moderated by <strong>Ana Marija Ivkoviq<\/strong>Editor-in-Chief of Alternativna.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> Mr. Abrashi<\/strong> highlighted the lack of prior communication and engagement between the Kosovo government and civil society. He emphasized the government\u2019s avoidance of civil society and called for a change in the government\u2019s perception, urging them to see civil society as a partner rather than an adversary.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Ms. Radosavljevi\u0107<\/strong> noted the Kosovo government\u2019s failure to initiate dialogue with the Serb community.
