On January 1st of this year, the Facebook page “Lexo sot” published an article with the title: "BREAKING/ Kurti finally reveals the secret agreement with Serbia where he showed that.."
However, when clicking on the article, another page appears - neqs308media.com - where a snippet from an interview with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, for KosovaPress is shown. There, Kurti denies that there is any secret agreement with Serbia.
The news was published in the context of developments in northern Kosovo, where for several weeks roads leading to border points in Jarinje and Bernjak were blocked by Serbian protesters using heavy equipment.
In the interview, Kurti clarified that there was no secret agreement with Serbia to remove the barricades. According to him, the only guarantee he gave to the international community was that there are no lists for the arrest of Serbs in the north. Since the resignations of Serbs from Kosovo’s institutions after the government's decision to convert illegal license plates to RKS plates, Serbian politicians begin to claim that the government has also drawn up lists for the arrest and elimination of Serbs.
In addition to the Prime Minister, these claims have also been denied by security bodies in Kosovo.
