On December 18, in Gjilan, the next workshop was held on the topic "Early Warning and Early Action Against Extremist Ideologies.", organized as part of the project , organized as part of the project "The Fight Against Extremism in Kosovo: Trends, Challenges, and Countermeasures.", supported by the Matra program of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Kosovo.
The workshop gathered a diverse group of participants from the municipalities of Gjilan, Kamenica, Viti, and Ferizaj, including school directors, social work center heads, deputy mayors, religious representatives, members of the Kosovo Police, and experts from various social fields.
Researcher Adelina Hasani led the workshop, encouraging participants to share experiences and engage in collaborative discussions to identify extremist narratives in the community, such as religious, ethnonationalist, and anti-gender ones. The discussions also focused on creating potential effective mechanisms to combat and prevent extremism in its early stages.
During the workshop, participants shared their fieldwork experiences and engaged in group work, where they formulated concrete recommendations for preventing extremism. The high level of engagement and interactivity from the participants made this workshop an important step towards community awareness and strengthening inter-institutional cooperation.
