The fifth public discussion in Prizren, organized by Sbunker in collaboration with the organization Radio Romano Avazo at the Lumbardhi cinema, focused on the topic “Anti-gender ideologies, narratives and mobilizations”. The discussion brought an in-depth debate on the anti-gender narratives that right-wing extremism tries to impose on society, promoting narratives against the rights of women, the LGBTIQ+ community, ethnic and cultural minorities, always under the protection of the concept of the traditional family.
This discussion was attended by citizens from different communities, who showed high engagement by sharing their personal experiences and the challenges they face in their daily lives. The discussion turned into an interactive and reflective platform, where the needs of the community and the ways in which individuals cope with these anti-gender ideologies were addressed. Participants shared personal stories that illustrated the impact of these narratives on their identity and well-being, as well as on relations between different social groups.
The discussion was rich in questions and discussions, encouraging an exchange of views that highlighted the importance of solidarity and collective mobilization to fight against discriminatory ideologies.
This discussion, led by Adelina Hasani, not only raised awareness of these issues, but also created a space for dialogue and mutual reflection among the participants.
This public discussion is supported through the Matra program of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kosovo.
