Today, we held the fourth advocacy meeting within the framework of the project "Combating Extremism in Kosovo: Trends, Challenges, and Countermeasures," which is supported through the Matra program of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kosovo.
The meeting was held at the Municipality of Pristina, at the Directorate for Security and Emergency, where we were welcomed by the director, Lulzim Fushtica. During the meeting, the project manager, Alban Bokshi, donated several copies of the research report and the toolkit published at the regional conference "Combating Extremism in Kosovo," held in January of this year.
The meeting continued with in-depth discussions on the current challenges related to extremism. Director Fushtica raised concerns about the same issues highlighted in the Sbunker report, such as: violence and bullying in schools, the radicalization of youth, the threat of extremist ideologies promoting hate speech and anti-gender, anti-human rights ideologies, ethno-nationalism, etc. The meeting concluded with mutual agreement to continue cooperation on these ever-growing issues.
